About us
The Foundation to Preserve Little Red Riding Hood & the Big Bad Wolf was founded in 1986. It's goal is to play old tales and stories to a wide audience. It's slogan is: 'Fairy Tales should be treasured and preserved, starting with Little Red Riding Hood & de Big bad Wolf'. Actors are Cécilia Meinders and Reint Laan, both living in Zeeland on the island Schouwen-Duiveland. They met each other at the same psychiatrist. Besides many theatre-workshops they did a two year college in Brussels, at the Kleine Academie and 'Ecole de theâtre et de mime'.
Rijn & Trijn
As red-nosed clowns Rijn & Trijn they play Red Riding Hood, Rumpfelstilchen, Rapunzel, Cinderella, The Emperors New Clothes, Snowwhite & the Seven Dwarfs at festivals, in school and in theatres. Up to 2001 about 120 shows a year. Then both were attracted to the service of the Dutch Hospital Clowns Service and played daily in childrens wards. In 2008 Reint became the first CliniClown to be pensioned, but together with Cécilia he goes on making new productions, doing workshops and playing shows.
What do we now?
We play for broad audiences: for kindergartens Bob and Jilly (Jip & Janneke in Dutch), and for yound to old Red Riding Hood, Rumpfelstilchen or Snowwhite. Or streetimpro's! What more? Fools workshops, theatersportstraining, clowning-lessons.In Rotterdam within the SKVR-arts school or the Delft Clownschool BUUS.
